A natural need to support women in their careers sees Angela Vithoulkas and VIVO café offering practical support to workshop
Angela Vithoulkas and her café brand, VIVO, is getting behind an initiative of Karen Adamedes, author of Hot Tips for Career Chicks, and supporting a vibrant and inspiring Career Development Workshop to be held in Sydney at the State Library on 26th February.
The workshop targets the main areas where women make mistakes with their career and Angela, a strong supporter of women in the workforce, was inspired to offer practical and promotional help to Karen in her efforts to make women more successful with their careers.
“Karen’s book is proving to be very popular with women of all ages and the workshop that she has put together to support it will help to spread the word that women can be as successful as they want to be when it comes to their careers,” says Angela. “This is very important if we want to tap into the wealth of talent that women offer companies at all levels of the workforce.”
“I’m very passionate about women achieving all they want to achieve in life so it was an automatic reaction for me to offer the support of myself and VIVO in the promotion of this.”
Attendees who register online with the discount code VIVO will receive a 20% discount on their ticket price, courtesy of Angela and VIVO.
“Whenever I can get involved in an event that supports and encourages women I grab the opportunity,” Angela adds. “I have forged my own career path and often had to make difficult decisions and wonder whether they’re the right ones. Having as much ammunition in your career arsenal helps take you on the right path to those higher level positions.”
Angela will look forward to meeting the event attendees as they arrive as she takes on a different role to her usual position on the stage.
“I think this workshop will be so valuable to the women who attend, I wanted to offer any help that I could and providing my services on the registration desk allows me to contribute in a practical sense.”
Speakers on the day will include Karen Adamedes, Kate Southam, Journalist and editor of CareerOne’s online magazine, Serena Beirne fashion industry advisor to the government and Rebecca Sebastian who will be sharing her career story so far.
The workshop includes morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea.
