Innovative ideas in the Ezypay Mini Trend Alert show the fitness industry new ways to connect with their members
Ezypay has just released their annual mini trend report highlighting the major trend sweeping the fitness industry this year. No surprises, given the widespread love affair with social media in general, that most of the benefits being realised by fitness business owners are centred around social media tools.
Extending on the ideas and concepts set out in the Top 10 Trends Impacting the Fitness Industry earlier in the year, Celeste Kirby-Brown, Sales & Marketing Director at Ezypay has demonstrated to fitness business owners how applying the new tools available to them can bring their members together for lasting relationships with each other and their fitness centre.
In this latest report, Celeste Kirby-Brown highlights several online tools that can have a serious impact on attendance at gyms and encourage more participation both in group sessions and one-on-one training sessions.
“From our survey and initial research earlier in the year it was clear to me that the most progressive and innovative fitness business owners would be those who had tuned into the possibilities that social media sites and tools could offer,” says Celeste.
“As the year has progressed more and more options have emerged that are highly relevant to the fitness industry,” she adds. “Many of the latest options are geared towards bringing online connections offline to encourage real world meetings and create genuine long term relationships that promote and encourage more participation in the group sessions, personal training sessions and self-start gym attendance.”
The Mini Trend Alert shows that services such as Foursquare, Twitter Places and other locational based options, which have increased in popularity over the last few months, offer many options for creative fitness business owners to bring people into the gym for personal training sessions, ‘buddy’ training sessions and goal oriented programs.
“Social media has opened up so many opportunities for gyms to bring their communities back together for the benefit of both members and owners,” says Celeste. “We’ve seen many of our clients using social media to encourage the sharing of ideas, community building and membership growth. A great example of this is Fit n Fast who have used their Facebook page as a means of communication for the membership community as well as for easy sign up, using the Ezypay Direct Debit option, all without leaving the popular site. Fit n Fast have really understood that they need to participate where their market hangs out.”
The Ezypay Mini Trend Alert shows how creative gyms and fitness centres can make the most of the connected world to grow their membership base, source talented trainers and make their business a central community meeting place.
